How to cancel YouTube Premium

You can cancel YouTube Premium online in about two minutes at www.youtube.com/paid_memberships.

Open youtube.com/paid_memberships while signed in
Choose 'Manage membership' → 'Deactivate'
Confirm — Premium runs to the end of the period

What they don't tell you

If you subscribed in the iOS app, Google cannot cancel it; use Settings → Subscriptions on your iPhone.
Pausing (up to 6 months) is offered before cancelling and still stops the charge.

Before you cancel — the cheaper option

YouTube offers a pause of up to six months rather than a discount.

If you subscribed through Apple

YouTube Premium cannot cancel a subscription that Apple bills. On your iPhone open Settings → your name → Subscriptions, choose YouTube Premium, then Cancel Subscription. Check your receipt: if it came from Apple, that is your route.
