How to cancel Netflix
Cancel Netflix at www.netflix.com/cancelplan. Sign in, then work through to the final confirmation screen.
Step by step
- Open netflix.com/cancelplan and sign in
- Confirm 'Finish Cancellation'
- Your plan runs until the end of the current billing period
What they don't tell you
- Cancelling does not delete your profile or viewing history - Netflix keeps it for 10 months in case you return.
- If you signed up through Apple, Netflix cannot cancel it. You must cancel in Settings → your name → Subscriptions.
There is a cheaper option first
Netflix does not offer retention discounts. Downgrading to the ad-supported tier is the only way to pay less.
If you subscribed through Apple
Netflix cannot cancel a subscription that Apple bills. On your iPhone open
Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions, choose Netflix and cancel there.
Check the receipt: if it came from Apple, that is your route.
