How to cancel Netflix

What they don't tell you

Cancelling does not delete your profile or viewing history — Netflix keeps it for 10 months in case you return.
If you signed up through Apple, Netflix cannot cancel it. You must cancel in Settings → your name → Subscriptions.

Before you cancel — the cheaper option

Netflix does not offer retention discounts. Downgrading to the ad-supported tier is the only way to pay less.

If you subscribed through Apple

Netflix cannot cancel a subscription that Apple bills. On your iPhone open Settings → your name → Subscriptions, choose Netflix, then Cancel Subscription. Check your receipt: if it came from Apple, that is your route.
